Ed Mitchell is a Half Century member of the PGA of America. He got his start in golf as a caddy at the Country Club of Jackson, MI and worked into an Assistant Professional position there in 1962, where he remained as the number one assistant for 8 years.

Ed served as Head Golf Professional at 2 clubs in Michigan and 2 in Florida. He operated an Indoor golf center in Ohio for 10 years during his 30-year tenure as a golf professional. During the period of operating the indoor golf center, Ed invented, developed and manufactured club performance and repair machines and tools that became the standard in the golf industry.

For more than 20 years Ed has developed and conducted training programs in club building, repair and fitting. Among his many accomplishments, he served on the national PGA Education Committee for 4 years, where he was instrumental in writing the curriculum for the club performance portion of the PGM program that was introduced in 2012.
